DIVAS Destined for Greatness - provides weekly gatherings for teenage girls. It is designed to create healthy intergenerational relationships between young girls and young and elderly women. The program includes presentations, discussions, field trips, and educational and social activities. God-centered character and moral development activities include topics such as self-awareness, self-discipline, respect, chastity, family relationships, nutrition, money management, and more.

What Does DIVA Mean?

It is I AM's belief that the "path to greatness" for our young girls can be reached by:

Developing a sense of self-worth, character, and empowerment
Inspiring each other to make good choices in times of adversity
Valuing the importance of faith, family, and fortitude
Acknowledging obstacles as a doorway to opportunity
Standing firm on the principles of chastity, integrity, honesty, and humility

Divas Destined for Greatness (DDG) was founded in 2008. It has been responding to the plea to save the lives, minds, and spirits of our young people. Our mission has never been more crucial than it is today. Reclaiming our future generation requires immediate attention, involvement, and support from caring individuals such as you. I AM is willing and available to provide the DDG program to any church, school, or community organization in any county nationwide, ready to receive the training and provide meeting space.

The yearly program is consistent with groups of girls from ages 12-17; each session the girls go through is designed to address real-life issues. In a non-threatening environment, participants can share those personal experiences and feelings which impact their daily choices.

Divas will establish and maintain a positive self-image by identifying a minimum of two admirable self-characteristics (physical and spiritual).

Divas will be able to identify and demonstrate appropriate responses to compliments and /or criticisms from others.

Divas will be able to use the bible as a resource in comparing the world's view of beauty and God’s view of true beauty.

Divas will be introduced to positive self-imagery through reflective reading, visual arts, creative writing, theatrical performance memorization of poems, music, and more.

Divas will experience love through acts of service.

We cover other topics such as:

Self-awareness - Covers needs, skills, personal interests, values, hope & dreams.

Self-esteem - Covers deep thoughts about themselves and working confidence

How to dress - Covers daily choices on presenting oneself

Etiquette - Covers the beauty of how to behave and what is acceptable in social or official life.

Relationships - Covers the relationship you have with yourself and others

Peer Pressure - Covers how you get influenced and how to become your own individual

Health/Nutrition - Covers tips on healthier living and daily choices that impact the future

Pray Unceasingly - Covers your relationship between you and God

Finances and Money Management - Covers tips and choices for future planning with money.
